Abstrak

This study aims to determine the development and effectiveness of the use of visual media on students' vocabulary mastery and students' responses in vocabulary learning. This study used pre-experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample of this study was 9th grade students of MTs Darul Mujahidin Nwdi Paek which amounted to 25 students. The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the students' pre-test and post-test. In addition, the average value of the pre-test was 41.20 while in the post-test was 75.80. Based on these results, the Shapiro-wilk value on the pre-test and post-test is higher than the significance value (p) >0.05. The Shapiro-wilk value in the pre-test is 0.212 while the significance value in the post-test is 0.091. Based on the paired sample T-Test calculation, the significance value of 0.00 is smaller than 0.05. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted.
